As from today, Montenegro has opened its borders with Albania provided those travelling have a negative PCR test or a serological test.
The announcement was made by the Montenegrin Director of the Institute of Public Health, Boban Mugosa. He said the decision was made because the epidemiological situation has improved.
The borders will now be open to those coming from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Western Europe. US citizens will also be allowed to enter the country.
The tests must be issued by a registered laboratory and cannot be older than 72 hours at the time of entry to Montenegro. Individuals will be denied entry if they have been in any of the countries that Montenegro does not allow entry to, in the last 15 days.
