N. Macedonia to Purchase 8,000 Vaccine Doses from Serbia, Says Zaev

Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has stated that his government will purchase 8,000 Pfizer vaccine doses from Serbia.

We have beautiful, happy news. We will get 8,000 Pfizer vaccines from Serbia. President Vucic confirmed today that Serbia will help us with vaccines from their purchase, which we will pay at a purchase price,” Zaev wrote on Facebook on Monday.

North Macedonia has not received any vaccines yet, and Zaev didn’t mention when the first doses may arrive from Serbia.

He applauded Serbia’s “act of solidarity” which is bound to strengthen their relationship, Zaev added.

The Prime Minister informed that his government is negotiating with Pfizer for 800,000 vaccine doses. He predicts the first doses will arrive in February.
