A total of 288 legal and physical persons from Russia opened companies in Serbia, together with six Ukrainian business owners, since the war in Ukraine broke out on 24 February, the N1 portal reported on Wednesday.
The Agency for Business Registries (APR) confirmed for the portal that 10 Russian and three Ukrainian firms were deleted from the agency’s records at the same time.
The newly-established Russian firms have been registered for programming operations, unspecified retail sales, business consulting and management, and IT consulting. The firms deleted from the agency registry were active in the catering industry, construction, architecture, tyre production and beauty industry and creative arts.
The newly-established Ukrainian companies have registered to offer consulting, catering and transportation services, while a marketing agency, a chemical trade company and a mobile catering facility, were removed from the list of registered companies.
APR data shows that Serbia has a total of 876 companies owned entirely or partly by Russians and 524 entrepreneurs, not including shareholder societies, majority-owned by Russia, such as the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS), YUGOROSGAZ, Lukoil Serbia.
Serbia also has 173 companies owned by Ukrainian nationals and companies as well as 96 entrepreneurs.
