From today until 26 February, new COVID-19 restrictions will come into force throughout Albania.
There is a curfew in place between 20:00 and 06:00 every day. During this time no car or person may travel anywhere for any reason, unless they have explicit permission via the eAlbania portal. The only other exemption is delivery drivers for takeaways and home delivery services. All other businesses including bars, cafes, shops, and restaurants will be closed.
Further to the curfew, schools in “high-risk” areas such as Tirana, Durres, Lezha, Lushnje, Kamza, Berat and Gjirokaster will conduct all learning online until 26 February.
These measures were announced yesterday as a response to the increase in the numbers of infections.
