A 57-year-old woman from Kumanovo is the first victim from coronavirus in North Macedonia.
She was found to have had Covid-19 only after she was declared dead. Twice during last week she had tested negative for coronavirus.
Minister of Health Venko Filipce said the woman died on Saturday evening, and that she was kept in isolation in hospital despite testing negative twice.
Her 33-year-old son is also under intensive care, infected with Covid-19.
On Sunday, North Macedonia reported 29 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 114.
