OSCE Ambassador Borchardt: Police Has to Be Independent during Electoral Campaign

During the first training day of the State Police concerning their role in the election process, OSCE Ambassador Bernd Borchardt asked the State Police to keep their neutrality during the electoral campaign.

We three months away from the elections, which are considered the foundation stone for democracy. The police has to secure the standards during the elections. I have faith that the State Police will be neutral in this difficult election process and will work with professionalism and dignity.

You also need to continue to realize your daily duties and especially in the battle against transnational threats and organized crime, and especially against cannabis.
