OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo Appointed to Same Role in Serbia

Starting from January 1, the Head of OSCE mission in Kosovo, Jan Braathu will be serving as the head of the mission in Serbia.

The appointment was made by Albania which took over OSCE chairmanship for 2020.

Media reported that Braathu’s appointment was announced through a letter sent by the Albanian ambassador to OSCE, Igli Hasani, to the member states of this organization.

Meanwhile, it has not yet been announced who will be appointed the new head of the OSCE mission in Kosovo.

Braathu from Norway has served as head of the OSCE mission in Kosovo since October 1, 2016.

Prior to this position, he served as Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
