Past 3 Weeks Almost as Many Deaths as Period Between March 9 and June 9

During the last 3 weeks, the country has seen nearly the same amount of coronavirus deaths than during the three month period between March 9 and June 9.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Albania, in March, 65 people have died as a result of coronavirus.

From March 9 to June 9, a 3 month period, 34 Albanians succumbed to COVID-19. Whereas from June 10 to July 1, a 3 week period, 31 Albanians have succumbed to COVID-19.

The increased number in victims has accompanied the increase in reported coronavirus infected cases and hospitalizations.

The past few days have seen between 71 and 84 hospitalized patients, whereas from 45 to 86 new infected cases are reported daily.
