During an interview last Friday on the Vizion+, and yesterday evening on Top Channel, Astrit Patozi announced that the anti-Basha group will create an official fraction within the PD and demands to be represented in the PD leadership.
Patozi called the fact that the parliamentary group was selected solely by PD leader Lulzim Basha and not the PD a crisis in representation. This has been acknowledged by both Basha and former PD leader Sali Berisha, who called Patozi co-leader of the PD.
For this reason, claiming that the anti-Basha group has the majority in the PD, Patozi has requested that this fraction be represented in the PD leadership. He excluded the possibility of accepting to remain in the PD without this representation.
If you consider that has never happened before in the world that generals return in the same army as soldiers. Generals are either killed or go with pension. Only an idiot, so to say, can think that generals can return as soldiers in the same army, because it’s nonsense, so to say, it’s unimaginable.
Patozi also stated that he will not withdraw their claim to lead the PD together with Basha, stating that if Basha wouldn’t accept it, they would impose it on him, although leaving unspecified how such imposition could be achieved.
For the first time, the anti-Basha group also criticized Sali Berisha, who supports Basha and the unity of the PD:
We will impose ourselves on Mr Basha and anyone else who may stand before or behind him. […] If Mr Berisha will confront us, we will be against him. If Berisha comes out and speaks against our initiative, we will also be against him. That’s very simple.
