The Secretary-General of the Order of Pharmacists, Dëfrim Goma, has asked the government for 5,000 doses to vaccinate pharmacists.
In an interview with Euronews, Goma said there are 2,500 pharmacists on duty and they are not included in the priority groups.
“We are in full sync with the International Federation of Pharmacists. A few days ago, its president called on the governments of poor countries to consider pharmacists as a priority group in the vaccination against COVID-19. “
The Order of Pharmacists requested the vaccination of pharmacists as soon as possible as they are part of the medical staff on the front line of the war with Covid-19.
On Thursday, through a letter addressed to the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu, the Order states that the non-inclusion of pharmacists in the priority group of vaccination is’ inexplicable.
