PM Rama Also Changes Deputy Ministers and Prefects

Following the replacement of 6 ministers and the deputy prime minister as the result of the McAllister+ agreement with opposition leader Lulzim Basha, Prime Minister Edi Rama has dismissed several other officials on the level of deputy ministers and prefects.

During a meeting today, the Council of Ministers dismissed Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs Elona Gjebrea, who is heading the candidate list of the PS in Tirana. Rovena Voda was nominated in her stead.

Deputy Minister of Finance Ervin Mete was dismissed and replaced by Irena Beqiraj, who had held the post before and had become economic councilor for Prime Minister Rama.

Deputy Minister of Health Eridian Salianji was also dismissed and replaced by Etilda Gjonaj, a recent candidate for the office of the Anti-Discrimination Commissioner.

Prime Minister Rama also nominated 7 new prefects:

  • Admir Abria in Tirana;
  • Ardit Demeri in Elbasan;
  • Aridt Kaja in Dibra;
  • Emiljan Jani in Durrës;
  • Valbona Zylyftari in Berat;
  • Pandi Papando in Korça;
  • Vasil Bregu in Fier.
