PM Rama Tries to Pass Off Georgian Airport Rendering as Kukës Airport

On Wednesday night, Prime Minister Rama posted on his Facebook page an announcement that within a year Kukës airport will be fully operating. Posting a picture of the airport model, Rama wrote:

The new Kukës airport and a warning: Don’t depreciate the 3D model, because it will look nicer than this in the flesh, a year from today.

However, the picture posted by the Prime Minister was found, by Politico.al’s Gentian Gaba, to be taken from the project for the expansion of Georgia’s Kutaisi Airport, as designed by UNStudio.

The Kukës airport concession has been granted to the company Kastrati.

Ironically, Rama himself seems to implicitly admit that his projects never leave the drawing table, and attempts to counter this by declaring this Kukës airport will indeed materialize. Meanwhile, Turkish-designed Vlora Airport also continues to be a mirage.
