Poland has barred Albanian citizens from travelling to the country unless they fall to specific categories.
Only spouses or children of Polish citizens, permanent residents, holders of work permit, families of ambassadors, students (in Poland) will be able to enter Poland, Tirana Airport announced on Sunday.
Albania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Poland’s decision was “unexpected“.
It comes amidst a worsening situation with coronavirus in Albania in the last two months, since the lifting of restrictions.
The country has reported 225 deaths and 7,260 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
