President-Elect Meta: Rama Responsible for Drugs and Criminals in Parliament

Former LSI leader and President-Elect Ilir Meta spoke yesterday evening with journalist Roland Qafoku, making severe accusations at the address of Prime Minister Ed Rama, holding him responsible for the cannabization of the country and the presence of criminals in Parliament.

Rama and no one else is responsible for the drugs issue and the LSI has no relation to it whatsoever, because the selection Saimir Tahiri at the head of the Ministry of Interior Affairs has been his personal choice, even though there has been strong opposition even within the PS. I also expressed by reservations against the person in question.

And only Rama is responsible for putting a lot of elements with criminal records in Parliament, while the LSI holds no responsibility for that. Even the one LSI deputy of whom the LSI didn’t he had these problems, was taken by Rama.

I don’t know what Rama has taken responsibility for. For Mr Rama it is always [Sali] Berisha, Luli [Basha], or the LSI that is responsible.

He always finds fault with someone else, and never will he find it with himself. I think that this arrogance of his will be inevitably be punished on June 25.

Meta also commented on the McAllister+ agreement of May 18, which he saw as an attempt to damage the smaller parties by the two major parties.

This agreement has been made in a lack of transparency, because the agreement really should have been made at the meeting of the parties in parliament [which preceded Rama and Basha’s head-to-head meeting], which had organized this meeting.

This agreement should have been transparent, it shouldn’t violate the Constitution or the Electoral Code or the coalitions among other parties.

Of course it was an agreement with the idea and the thought to damage other political forces, including also allied parties, except the LSI, which is not damaged by the agreement.
