A 66-year-old has died this morning as a result of health complications due to coronavirus.
He was hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tirana, and was being kept under intensive care for several days.
The man reportedly suffered from other diseases associated with heart and lungs.
Albania’s first coronavirus victim was a 73-year-old woman, who died on March 11 in a hospital in Durres. She was also suffering from a range of medical ailments.
The number of confirmed cases in Albania stands at 55, including the two reported deaths.
