Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has stated that her government will open a testing lab in Mitrovica, Kosovo, among several new ones planned throughout Serbia, Radio Kontakt Plus reported.
The north of Mitrovica is administered by Serbs, whereas Kosovo’s government doesn’t exercise full de facto power there. The Serb List party governing the municipality is also part of the current government of Avdullah Hoti.
Inhabitants of Serb-majority North Mitrovica have used hospitals in Serbia for COVID-19 testing so far, Kosovo’s Koha newspaper reports.
