Five doctors and five nurses of the Trauma Hospital in Tirana were quarantined after taking care of an injured person infected with COVID-19.
It is not yet known whether medical personnel were infected with COVID-19 and the quarantine measures have been taken as a precaution. The media reported that they will take the test after 5 days, as the virus is in the incubation period and cannot be detected at this stage.
The infected person was involved in a car accident 3 days ago in Durrës and was taken to the Durrës hospital and then to the Trauma Hospital.
Doctors suspected that the young man was infected with COVID-19, and after he tested positive they sent him to the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
