Third COVID-19 Hospital to Start Working This Week

Albania’s third dedicated COVID19 hospital will start working this week as the number of cases continues to increase.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu during a visit with Prime Minister Rama in the newly finished hospital wing.

The hospital will have 150 beds and a resuscitation unit. It has two wards and is intended to be an ancillary facility for the other two hospitals, to treat patients in stable condition.

Dr. Najada Çomo indicated that the staff of COVID-3 Hospital is ready, after the necessary training and practice at the other two COVID hospitals.

Currently, at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 271 patients are being treated, while the number of infected is increasing every day.
