Greek authorities announced yesterday that as of 16 August, anyone entering from Albania will need to quarantine for seven days.
The obligation pertains to those entering through the Kakavija border. In addition to this, the border will only be open during the day and will remain closed overnight.
Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias made the announcement yesterday in the hope it will curb the spread of COVID-9 in the country. The number of confirmed cases is increasing steadily with 469 cases recorded over the previous seven days.
