Travellers from Albania to UK Require Negative COVID-19 Test

Anyone travelling from Albania to the UK will have to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken less than 72 hours before departure.

This will come into effect as of 11 January, according to a post by the British Embassy in Tirana.

They will also have to self-isolate for a period of 10 days, even if the test is negative.

Failing to comply with the rules will incur a GBP 500 fine.

Those travelling from the UK to Albania do not require a test but must isolate for 14 days. This week, six individuals were fined by police in Tirana after they were found to have violated the quarantine.
