Two Day Amnesty on Fines Announced, Libraries and Stationery Shops to Open

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that there will be an amnesty on fines for not having permission to leave the house, for two days.

From 30 March, anyone wishing to go shopping is required to apply for a permit via eAlbania or sms. Only one family member is allowed to go out for one hour a day.

Due to many issues with the platform including long delays, issues with registration, and the site crashing, Rama said any fines issued yesterday will not be payable. He also said that any people found not with the correct permission today, will not be made to pay.

Going forward, everyone is required to obtain permission before leaving the house.

The Ministry of Health also announced that as of this morning, bookshops, tyre shops, and shops selling stationery will be open between 5am and 1pm.
