The Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) has today dismissed to more magistrates, Tirana Appeals Court judge and Justice Nominations Council (KED) candidate Ervin Metalla and Tirana Prosecutor and High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) candidate Arben Nela.
Metalla had claimed to be homeless to receive a loan to buy a house in Durrës, and had received the compensation awarded to an Albanian company by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg on his own bank account.
Nela was also dismissed based on his financial affairs. He was not able to account for the funds he used to buy several pieces of real estate.
