The U.S. Embassy in Tirana has alerted American citizens and permanent residents who wish to leave Albania that there are two possible charter flights this week that may take them to cities in Europe where they could connect to commercial flights to the United States.
All flights from Albania were suspended last weekend, after which the U.S. embassies started preparations to find ways to repatriate those who wanted to depart.
The embassy strongly urges all those who want to depart to urgently contact them by email at [email protected]. Those who have already sent their information before don’t need to do it again. The embassy will contact those interested today for more information.
U.S. citizens in Albania are advised that alternate travel options are highly unpredictable at this time and can become available, change, or cancel with little or no notice.
