US Earthquake Aid to be Spent on “Transparency Academy”

The $ 5.5 million that the United States has donated after the earthquake in Albania will be used to set up the ‘Transparency Academy’ (USATA).

This institution will help the government with the management of reconstruction funds after the earthquake and other public funds.

“The academy will increase the transparency and integrity of government and public and private institutions, and will support justice reform.” – writes the American Embassy in Albania.

Prime Minister Rama has previously announced that this is a way to “replace” the departure of the USAID mission from Albania after 28 years.
