Validity of Expired ID Cards Extended until Elections 

The government of Albania has extended the validity of expired ID cards in order to enable citizens to vote.

A decision by the Council of Ministers states that ID cards expired before the election day, April 25, are valid until April 30, 2021.

It follows a request by the Central Elections Commission.
