The Independent Vetting Commission dismissed the Serious Crimes Prosecutor Përparim Kulluri today.
The prosecutor was dismissed by a vetting panel composed of Lulzim Hamitaj, Olsi Komici and Brunilda Bekteshi on grounds of all the three vetting criteria.
The commission found he had received a higher compensation amount for a shop he owned in Orikum which was expropriated.
The National Security Agency (DSIK) found Prosecutor Kulluri unfit for office. Their report argued that he kept in contact with two persons convicted in Greece for drug trafficking and production.
The vetting commission also cast doubts on a case in which Kulluri had decided not to investigate another prosecutor suspected of corruption.
