Vetting Judge Appeals Suspension by Anti-Corruption Court

Special Appeal Chamber (KPA) judge Luan Daci has appealed the Special Anti-Corruption Court’s decision to suspend him for hiding his dismissal as judge in 1997.

Daci claims he is innocent and “did not falsify any documentation or break any law.”

He is accused by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution of falsifying documents to conceal his 1997 dismissal when he applied to be a KPA member. The Court suspended him on May 20.

On May 25, KPA suspended cases that were being reviewed by vetting bodies that included Daci, until the Special Anti-Corruption Court comes to a final decision on the judge.
