Vodafone announced it will invest EUR 20 million in funding initiatives to encourage youngsters’ digital skills and education.

The investments will be made in Albania, Romania, Germany, Greece, Czechia and some other EU countries. It’s hoped they will reach 16 million students by 2025.

The educational programs will be delivered in partnership with NGOs and charities and will help people to develop their skill set in using digital technologies.

Nick Read, CEO of Vodafone Group said: “Vodafone is proud to support the critical development of digital skills and education in the communities we serve through our expertise in connectivity and technology.”

In Albania, Vodafone will invest in STEM workshops and digital learning materials for teenagers. So far, they reported they have helped 61,000 teenagers in Greece and Albania through the Generation Next project. They aim to reach 1 million by 2025.
