Protesta e Zisë @The Police Directory (Rr. Sami Frasheri) on March 8th
Almost every 7 days a woman was killed during only this year. This special day will be a day to protest against violence and gender inequality. Join this silent walk to support every woman in Albania. The protest will take place in different cities. In Tirana, the walk will start at 11am in front of the Police Directory and will continue for 2 hours.
Shpat Deda & Armend Xhaferi duo @Tulla on March 8th
Tulla will celebrate women day with one of the most well-known Albanian musicians, Shpat Deda, and guitarist Armend Xhaferi. Shpat Deda will sing some of your favourite songs! The show starts at 9 pm.
WikiGap 2019 @The Sweden Embassy of Albania on March 8th
In the International Women Day, the Embassy of Sweden in Albania will organise the second edition of WikiGap. The event aims to create online biographies of women in Albanian language. Everyone is free to participate. Fill in the form and join at 10:30am.
Woman’s Day Celebration @Rogner on March 8th
An event dedicated to women including welcoming drinks, exclusive lunch and an entertaining program. Reservation needed. This event will start at 1pm.
Women International Film Festival @Millennium Cinema on March 8th-11th
UN Women in Albania and National Centre of Cinematography are hosting an International Festival focused on women violence. Documentaries and movies shown will help you to reflect on gender based issues. See the schedule here.
