World Leaders React To British Prime Minister Boris Johnsons Admission to Intensive Care

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care at St Thomas Hospital in London due to worsening symptoms of Coronavirus. He was diagnosed with the virus some 12 days ago but was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening as his health deteriorated. 

World leaders reacted last night to the news.

US President Donald Trump:

“We are working with London to honor Boris Johnson. He has been a really good friend. He does not give up. We have contacted all of Boris’s doctors… When he goes to intensive care, then the situation becomes very, very serious.”

French President Emmanuel Macron:

“All my thoughts are with Boris Johnson, his family and the British people in these difficult times. I wish him a speedy recovery.”

The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau:

“I send my best wishes to Prime Minister Boris Johnson for a speedy and complete recovery. My thoughts are with him and his family in these moments. We hope to see you soon at Number 10.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the people of Israel are praying for a speedy recovery of our friend, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.”

The Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar:

“Boris Johnson is in our thoughts tonight. We wish him a speedy recovery and a healthy return.”

Council of Europe President Charles Michel,

Johnson’s girlfriend Carie Symonds is also suffering from the virus and is pregnant. The media has reported that she is recovering well.
