1 Ton Of Cocaine Seized in Germany, Several Albanians Arrested

One ton of cocaine, valued at approximately €400 million, was confiscated yesterday by the German police, in the Bavaria region.

The German police arrested 12 persons as members of the drug trafficking gang responsible. The majority of the arrested are Albanian.

The cocaine came from Latin America to Germany, hidden in banana containers, a method similar to the one used to ship the 613 kg of cocaine confiscated in Maminas.

It is suspected that the gang transported cocaine from Latin America to Germany, and then sold it in Europe.

Until now, the German police has stated that the gang has trafficked 1.8 tonnes of cocaine, valued at €400 million,
