Albanian authorities have reported 13 more coronavirus-infected cases found in the last 24 hours, which brings the country’s total to 89.
The Public Health Institute announced that eight of them live in Tirana, one in Kavaja, one in Durres and three in Korca. They all had contact with infected patients.
Tests have been conducted on 804 people in total, 33 in the last 24 hours.
Two people have died due to coronavirus-related health complications.
Three people were confirmed recovered and discharged after they tested negative twice. They were put under quarantine at home for two weeks.
The average age of those infected is 48, whilst for those hospitalized is 54.
The government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.
The maps of the infected covers cities of Tirana (63), Durrës (6, including one victim), Fier (8), Lushnje (2, including one victim), Elbasan (2), Rrogozhina (2), Kavaja (3), Korca (3).
43 patients are hospitalized, four of them are in intensive care and the rest are in stable condition.
So far, all of those infected had either been in contact with other infected people or had recently traveled to Italy.
