The student organization ‘Civic Resistance’ has publicly asked the new Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, to prove that scientific articles, under her name, are not plagiarised.
During a protest yesterday, they asked Kushi to use the software purchased by the Ministry of Education to conduct anti-plagiarism check of he work.
One of the members of the Civic Center, Migen Qeraxhi, said:
“The two scientific articles of the Minister of Education have raised question marks for plagiarism content. One of them was reported to contain up to 90 percent of plagiarism…
We challenge the minister to use the available software purchased by the Ministry of Education to conduct anti-plagiarism checks. ”
Allegations of plagiarism were made against Evis Kushi a few weeks ago, the day she was appointed Minister of Education. Several individuals ran her essays through plagiarism software and commented that the majority had been taken from other texts.
So far she has not made any public reaction to these allegations.
This is the latest in a long line of politicians who have been accused of plagiarising their dissertations or other published articles. Those accused of plagiarism include MP Taulant Balla, Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, Director of the NAtional Information Society Miranda Karcanaj, Forer Ministeer of Defense and SP Deputy Mimi Kodheli, PS Deputy Blerina Gjylameti, ex Deputy Minister of Education Ervin Demo.
