Ballsh oil workers have entered the fourth day of their hunger strike. In an interview with BalkanWeb, they said they would continue until the end.
“We will continue, because we have an economic problem. Until the last hour. Until we get solutions. There is no turning back. We have no other reasons, we are economically zero. Until we die we are here.”
This is the second oil workers’ strike in a year.
In February 2020, oil workers went on a hunger strike for arrears of wages but agreed to return to work when it was announced that a new company would take over the management of the refinery and that an opportunity would be found to pay the arrears.
