The High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) has lowered the requirements for applicants to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK).
On January 7, the KLP opened a call for 15 special prosecutors which would set up the new, independent branch of the Prosecution Office.
So far, only two prosecutors have applied, Klodian Braho and Besnik Muçi. The application deadline is February 6.
During the meeting today, KLP chairman Gent Ibrahimi stated:
“The procedures to fill the 15 vacancies at SPAK have started, and so far we have two candidacies. The Council decided to limit the documentation required, through an email sent to all prosecutors. The list of documents has been limited. We hope that this limitation is encouraging, and I appeal to all prosecutors not to lose this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
