Albania Coronavirus Update, 29 March: 10 Victims, 212 Infected

Albanian authorities have reported 15 more coronavirus cases found in the last 24 hours, which brings the country’s total to 212. Seven patients have recovered since the last announcement yesterday, two of them doctors at the Tirana’s “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital.

The death toll due to coronavirus-related complications in Albania is 10.

Tests have been conducted on 1436 people in total, 111 in the last 24 hours.

– The number of those infected stands at 212.

– 40 patients recovered.

– 74 patients are hospitalized.

– 6 patients are in intensive care, 4 are connected to ventilators.

The rest of the infected are under quarantine at home.

The map of those infected covers cities of Tirana (121, including 4 victim), Durrës (12, including one victim), Fier (22, including two victims), Lushnje (4, including one victim), Elbasan (5), Rrogozhina (2), Kavaja (4, including one victim), Korca (12), Vlora (5, including one victim), Shkodra (5), Lezha (5), Has (2), Berat (1), Kruja (5), Tropoja (3), Puka (3), Mirdita (1).

The government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.
