Albania Lifts All COVID-19 Entry Requirements for Foreign Travelers

Starting June 1, foreign travelers arriving in Albania will not be required to present any COVID-19 documentation to enter the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made announcement earlier today.

No negative COVID-19 test will be required, nor proof of vaccination. The 14-quarantine requirement for tourists travelling by land has also been lifted.

Upon entering the country, travelers will be asked to complete a self-declaration regarding any COVID-19 symptoms they may exhibit.

Nevertheless, travelers using Tirana National Airport as a point of transit cannot leave the premises of the airport, otherwise they may not be allowed to continue their journey to their destination country, depending on this latter’s COVID-19 restrictions.

Masks will still be required inside Tirana National Airport, and social distancing rules must be respected.

In late May, the Albanian government eased restrictions for the population at large. Lockdown begins at 11 p.m. and lifts at 6 a.m. Masks are no longer necessary in public.
