Albania Lifts Pandemic Restrictions on Large Gatherings

Albania has lifted all restrictions on large gatherings that it had put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Committee on the pandemic went ahead with the decision taking into consideration the low number of active cases and daily infections.

There are currently fewer than 500 positive cases in Albania as a whole.

In March, Albania lifted in full its 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and reduced quarantine for positive cases to five days.

The quarantine remains in place and masks will continue to be required indoors.
