The Council of Ministers has yesterday approved the construction of a wind energy park near Tepelena, along the river Vjosa.
According to a technical report drafted by Alb-Building, the investor, the first wind energy park will contain six wind energy turbines of 2 MW each.
Alb-Building received a permit to develop a wind mill park in the Tepelena region from the previous Berisha government in 2012, which was extended in 2016 by the Ministry of Energy and Industry. It is as yet unknown when construction works will start.
