The Kosovo Ministry of Health has announced they will begin to administer booster shots for all adults starting Thursday, December 9.
Adults who have received both doses of the vaccine will be able to get a booster at least six months after their second shot.
Kosovo has one of the highest vaccinate rates in the region, having fully vaccinated roughly 760,000 citizens, or 42% of its population.
On Monday, the government began enforcing new measures against the pandemic, and anyone entering Kosovo must present proof of full vaccination, negative tests, or proof that they have recovered from the virus.
Last week, the Albanian government also approved booster shots for all adults over 18 who have received both doses of the vaccine.
