Arben Shehu will be the new head of the State Supreme Audit (KLSh).
The Parliament approved President Ilir Meta’s proposal on Thursday with 108 votes in favor.
Shehu was sworn in during today’s parliamentary session.
His predecessor’s term had ended two years ago.
President Iler Meta’s three previous proposals for the position were rejected by the ruling Socialist majority.
Shehu has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law and specializes in organized crime and economic crime.
