Vast areas in Shkoder have been flooded for several weeks now, with local authorities claiming they lack help from the central government.
About 1800 hectares of land have been flooded in the Dajç area in Shkoder.
Rains have flooded 7 houses, and 121 other houses have their yards under water, Balkanweb reports.
In some areas of Dajç it is impossible for cars to pass.
While residents are worried about how to provide food for their livestock, in some other areas the water level exceeds 2 meters.
The Municipality of Shkoder, the only one in the country led by the opposition, has repeatedly asked the government to declare a state of natural disaster in the Dajç area in the last months, but authorities have not responded yet.
