Russian authorities are expecting a thorough investigation into the deaths of four Russian tourists, last week in Albania.
Russian Embassy in Tirana posted a statement on Facebook, on Sunday, informing that they are in contact with Albanian authorities and are monitoring the investigation into the incident.
Four Russian tourists, members of a family, were found dead on Friday evening in the pool of a luxurious hotel in Qerret, a coastal village a few kilometers south of Durres. An elderly couple, their daughter and son in law were found by the side of the pool, with no apparent signs of violence or foul play.
They were staying in Albania since a week, and had visited Ohrid in Northern Macedonia earlier in the day.
The police are looking into the possibility of poisoning or substance abuse, which might have caused their death.
