Teenager Loses Life in Car Crash on Fier Bypass

A 19-year-old girl has lost her life in a car accident on the Fier Bypass today.

She was traveling in a vehicle with a 21-year-old boy who has been injured and is in hospital.

The police have not yet released any information about the nature of the incident.

Over the weekend, a woman lost her life near Durres when two vehicles collided. Another accident took place on the Fier Bypass when a motorist slammed on the brakes to avoid an animal in the road.

Car accidents numbers have been high in Albania, with an average of 3 accidents a day in 2020, despite the COVID-19 lockdown.
