The vetting commission has dismissed Dritan Peka, a Tirana Appeals Prosecutor.
The Special Appeals Chamber (KPA) decision was taken on Thursday.
In July 2020, the KPA decided to re-investigate Peka on all three criteria; assets, background and proficiency, following an appeal by the Public Commissioner fired against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) that confirmed Peka in office.
The Public Commissioner argued that Peka should be dismissed on grounds of false declarations and violation of public trust in justice.
The Commissioner requested a new examination of Peka’s assets, and filed new complaints.
The KPK confirmed Peka on March 4, while Public Commissioner Darjel Sina appealed the case on April 22.
