It seems Vlora Appeals Court judge Brikena Ukperaj will successfully pass the vetting process, seeing as the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) has found no irregularities in her wealth declaration and background check.
At the conclusion of the vetting hearing, the KPK relator announced that Ukperaj has not made any attempts to conceal her wealth, that has been accrued legally.
Regarding her background check, the National Security Agency (DSIK) gave a positive assessment, clearing the judge as “fit to continue her duties.”
KPK will announce its final ruling on June 25.
If Ukperaj does end up passing the vetting process, she will be the first member of the Council of Judicial Nominations (KED) to do so.
Two other KED candidates that underwent the vetting process before her, Altina Xhoxhaj and Gentian Trenova, were dismissed by KPK.
