Kurbin judge Marçela Shehu successfully passed her vetting and was consequently reconfirmed by the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK).
The KPK judicial body made up of Brunilda Bekteshi, Lulzim Hamitaj, and Olsi Komici ruled that Shehu’s wealth declarations were unproblematic, and her professional abilities received positive assessment. Shehu will, then, continue serving as judge.
Shehu is also a candidate for the High Judicial Council (KLGj).
Marçela Shehu is the third judge to successfully pass the vetting process, following Vitore Tusha and Manjola Xhaxho.
Meanwhile, when it comes to prosecutors, the only one to be reconfirmed has been Fatjona Memçaj. KPK is holding a hearing today, for the vetting of prosecutor Anila Leka, a candidate for the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP).
