Ballsh oil workers are continuing with the fifth day of the hunger strike, but according to the media, the health condition of one of them has deteriorated.
Report Tv reports that prrotestor Aleksandër Mejdani has been sent to hospital.
For four days now , Ballsh oil workers have been on a hunger strike demanding payment of arrears. They have stated that they will stay on strike until their salaries are paid.
This is the oil workers’ second strike in a year.
In February 2020, oil workers went on hunger strike for arrears of wages but agreed to return to work when it was announced that a new company would take over the management of the refinery and that an opportunity would be found to pay the arrears.
